Preparations Before Ultrasound Scan

For following Scans:

• Pelvic & Urinary Tract
• Kidney & Urinary Tract
• Kidney, Prostate & Urinary Tract
• Kidney, Prostate & Urinary Tract
• Follicular Tracking
• Urinary Tract & Testis
• Appendicitis
• Pre-IVF Assessment
• Endometrial Lining
• Endometriosis
• Coil Location

Preparation Guidelines:

• Consume at least one liter of clear water one hour before your appointment.
• Refrain from emptying your bladder until after the scan.
• Maintain your regular routine if you have diabetes.
• Continue taking your prescribed medications as usual.

Abdominal Scans:

• Abdomen
• Abdomen & Pelvis
• Abdomen, Pelvic & Urinary Tract
• Abdomen & Urinary Tract
• Abdomen, Urinary Tract & Testis
• Urinary Tract & Testis
• Abdominal Aorta for Aneurysm

Preparation Guidelines:

• Fast for a minimum of 4-6 hours before your ultrasound scan appointment. Avoid consuming Tea, Coffee, or porridge during this time.
• Drink at least one liter of clear water one hour prior to your appointment.
• Retain urine in your bladder until after the scan.
• If you have diabetes, adhere to your regular routine.
• Continue taking your prescribed medications as usual.

Arterial Scans (Stroke):

• Fasting for 6 hours is required.
